| UH-Clear Lake’s first class of doctoral students began their studies in January 2007 for the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. The university created its first-ever doctoral degree program, which gained approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in 2006, to meet the educational needs of Bay Area Houston communities.
