The Hunt Family Fiddlers will sing, fiddle and dance March
13 as part of UHCL’s Cultural Arts Series.

The high-energy sounds of the Hunt Family Fiddlers can be experienced first-hand at the group’s UHCL concert in March 2009. This amazing family of nine performs Celtic, bluegrass, inspirational and popular tunes with their fiddles, voices and Irish step dancing.

Native Houstonian Sandy Hunt, her husband, Clint, and their seven children have performed across the United States and throughout the world. In addition to their step dancing and fiddling, their talented brood plays the drums, accordion, keyboard and guitar. Several of the children are ranked Irish step dancers, including son Jonathan who was ranked 38th in the world for Irish step dancing when he was just 10 years old.

Sponsored by UHCL’s Cultural Arts, the Hunt Family Fiddlers performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13. A complimentary reception will be held after the performance.

Tickets can be purchased before the show for $10, $6 with UHCL I.D., or at the door for$12, $8 with UHCL I.D. For more information, call 281-283-2560 or e-mail Reitberger@uhcl.edu.
