Adjunct Faculty Credentials Verification

Adjunct faculty are hired by each school as needed.  The UHCL Adjunct Faculty Handbook Policy 1.3 contains detailed information regarding required credentials for adjunct teaching.  Original transcripts, letters of recommendation and vitas for each adjunct are filed and maintained by the Provost’s Office.  Adjunct credential requirements are based on the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) guidelines and are reviewed and verified by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs prior to employment.  

 

A copy of the Adjunct Faculty Credentials Verification form is attached to a packet containing the adjunct’s credentials, vita, three letters of reference and Personnel Action Request and forwarded to the Office of the Provost, B2525, or Box 74.
