Established in Fall 2008, the Office of Online Programs has the purpose to coordinate and facilitate the growth and expansion of online programs at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. The Office of Online Programs acts as the liaison between the Office of Provost, UCT, Schools and faculty to determine the programs that are offered online. Our role is to organize, and support the development of our new online and web-supported courses, and online programs to benefit the entire UHCL community.
Our Office objectives include:
Developing and recommending plans and assessment activities for online course development.
Developing and implementing training for faculty online learning strategies.
Advising and training faculty on approaches to enhance the quality of online courses; and
Ensuring compliance of online programs with accreditation standards mandated by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
