  • Manage calendar and arrange travel for the Provost

  • Process faculty offer letters
  • Assist in maintaining/processing adjunct and full-time PAR's and verification of documents for faculty/adjunct personnel files and credentials
  • Coordinates promotion and tenure documentation
  • Maintains PeopleSoft tenure panel updates
  • Assist with web site maintenance for the Office of the Provost
  • Assist in coordinating events sponsored by the Provost's Office, including the annual university-wide Convocation
  • Provide calendar support to Director of Online Program Development
  • Act as secretariat to the Parking Committee

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the AVPAA
  • Act as secretariat for the Academic Associates Council, Facilities and Support Services Committee and the Space Allocation and Utilization Subcommittee
  • Obtain CB approval of off-campus degree programs and courses and request course-related fee changes
  • Work closely with the associate deans, directors, other internal constituencies and with the UH System Office personnel, CB personnel and other external constituencies to expedite program, degree, course and other curricular approvals and notifications

  • Provide secretarial support to enrollment management committees (includes meeting with AVPEM and Academic Advising Coordinators)
  • Coordinate maintenance of the UHCL Course Inventory with internal departments and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
  • Work with student appeals referred to the AVPEM regarding admission to UHCL, non-paid drops and course equivalencies

  • Update and maintain departmental databases and prepare recurring reports
  • Track departmental billing for marketing contracts
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and follow up of various marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate publication of the Enrollment Management Newsletter
  • Assist with special projects and assignments and perform secretarial/clerical duties as required
