Our Mission

The continued mission of Risk Management and Environmental Health and Safety is reflected in its mission statement:

The primary purpose of Risk Management and Environmental Health and Safety is to support the University of Houston – Clear Lake in its mission of teaching, research and community service.
Our role is to identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective action to responsible departments to ensure the safety of the UHCL campus community, and eliminate unnecessary risks.
We also act as a liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance. In this capacity we provide internal expert solutions to issues to ensure Environmental protection and assure that governing requirements are met.

Risk Management

Risk Management at UHCL includes Insurance for Fire and Natural disasters, identification of Risks and Liabilities, Workers Compensation, Emergency Management, and Standards of Conduct for property, resources, and Internal and External contacts. Click below to access the Risk Management page.
