The Computer Science department hires a several graduate students to serve as teaching assistants (TA) for CSCI courses. TAs help the instructor answer student questions and grade coursework.
To apply, complete the TA application form with supplemental sheet and return it to Delta 161. Be sure you have satisfied all the eligibility requirements. Verify that your e-mail address is working. If you want to serve as a TA for a specific course, introduce yourself to the instructor to learn more about the course.
If you are hired as a TA:
 Document your eligibility to work before starting work. You will NOT be paid for any work before you complete your I-9 documentation
- Present your driver's license and Social Security card or passport at the Office of Human Resources, Bayou Room 1111
- Complete INS Form I-9
- All employees must document their citizenship status as required by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
 Complete your administration paperwork
- Administrative forms are published in the Temporary/Part Time Employment Manuals available in Bayou Building Room 3611
 Return your completed paperwork to Bayou Room 3611

- After completing the necessary paperwork, you may request information about insurance benefits available to student employees
All Teaching Assistants must attend an orientation at the beginning of every semester.
Students must have an approved Candidate Plan of Studies (CPS) to qualify for Teaching Assistant employment. |
