Unix Laboratory (D158)

The Unix lab is situated in Delta 158. It is set up so that at any given time, it could be partitioned to hold a class of up to 30 workstations.

Facilities available in Lab
  40 Ultra 5 Sun Workstations
360 MHz UltraSPARC-lli processor
128 Mbytes of Dram
256 KB L2 cache
8 GByte internal hard disk
1.44 MByte floppy
CD-ROM
PGX24
17" monitor
     
  10 SunRays (Diskless clients)
17"monitors
     
  All 50 machines are served with a Sun Enterprise 250 Server, consisting of:
2 CPU's with 400 MHz UltraSPARC-II CPU modules with 2 MB Ecache
1024 MB of RAM
36 GB of hard disk space
CDROM
     
  All machines have the Solaris 8 operating system installed on them.
     
  The lab also comes equipped with two printers:
HP LaserJet 8000N
