Computer Engineering Bachelor of Science (BS) - Admission into Undergraduate Degree PlanComputer Engineering Admission into Undergraduate Degree Plan Following an applicant’s admission to the university, the Office of Student Advising evaluates student transcripts. Some undergraduate plans require faculty admissions committees to review the applicants' files to determine their acceptance into degree plans. The Associate Dean notifies students about their admission status. Once they enter a degree plan, students meet with Academic Advisors and Faculty Advisors. The advisors help students complete a Candidate Plan of Study (CPS). The CPS delineates specific requirements of a study area; students must complete the CPS during the semester of their admission into a degree plan.
In general, candidates may apply no more than twelve hours of UHCL undergraduate coursework toward any degree before they complete a CPS. The faculty advisor will evaluate those hours (along with any hours accumulated during the semester the CPS is being finalized) and submit them to the associate dean for approval.
