UHCL Software Engineering Program Requirements    
The Software Engineering MS prepares students to address all aspects of software development. Coursework develops the student's ability to communicate ideas, work in groups, manage software products, and build quality into software products. The regard for this degree is underscored by Money Magazine and Salary.com; they recently declared that Software Engineering will be the most sought-after job through the next decade.
Full-time PhD faculty members teach all classes. The instructors represent high-caliber doctorate-granting institutions. In rare instances, an adjunct faculty member from the surrounding high-technology community conduct classes. No student-teaching fellows. Faculty members advise graduate students on a one-to-one basis. Class sizes are small; fewer than 20 students attend the typical undergraduate class, and the typical graduate class hosts 15 students. Faculty members apply leading-edge technology into the coursework. The UHCL Software Engineering program features excellent computing resources. The faculty has earned numerous scientific grants to set up state-of-the-art laboratories fund in which they conduct groundbreaking research.
NASA  Johnson  Space Center The UHCL campus is next to the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. It is close to high-tech firms such as Boeing, United Space Alliance, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and other engineering, oil, and chemical companies. Our industrial neighbors have sponsored research projects, mentored student projects, and hired our students as interns or permanent employees.
