Biological Sciences M.S. - Core Requirements | The Master's Degree Program |
| The MS degree requires completion of 36 credit hours. Thirty of these 36 hours must be completed in courses at or above the 5000 level, and a minimum of 24 credit hours must be completed in the biological sciences. |

Students may select between two options: a non-thesis option or a thesis option. Students who select the non-thesis option must complete BIOL 6838, the capstone project course, during their last 12 hours. Graduate students who select the thesis option are advised to take BIOL 5530, Research Methods in Biology, early in their studies as preparation for beginning the thesis.
The remaining graduate hours may be taken in related areas as approved by the student’s faculty advisor. |
