The department of Biological Sciences offers programs that lead to Texas teacher certification:

2+2 transfer plan for those pursuing teacher certification in  Biological Sciences:

Alternative Certification Program, in cooperation with UHCL member school districts, is a training program that provides the opportunity for teaching certificate candidates who have earned a bachelor's degree to be employed as full-time teachers while they complete their certification.
