Teacher Certification in Biological Sciences

The department of Biological Sciences offers programs that lead to Texas teacher certification:
Biological Science BA with 4-8 Science Certification
Biological Science BA with 8-12 Science Certification 
   
2+2 Plans for those pursuing teacher certification in  Biological Sciences
Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with teacher certification for grades 8-12:
High School Certification: 8-12 Life Science
 
Alternative Certification Program, in cooperation with UHCL member school districts, is a training program that provides the opportunity for teaching certificate candidates who have earned a bachelor’s degree to be employed as full-time teachers while they complete their certification.
