The curriculum for undergraduate students in Chemistry Program has the following objectives:
Students will apply basic scientific methods and mathematics to design and analyze chemistry problems.
Students will apply core chemistry fundamentals to design and analyze the realistic chemical problems. This capability includes the specification, design, implementation, and testing of concepts that explain the said problems.
Students will work in groups and/or supervise the planning, design, implementation, and testing of real-world chemistry projects.
Students will understand professional and ethical responsibility.
Students will clearly convey technical material through both formal written papers and oral presentations.
Students will establish a pattern of life-long learning by taking part in the individual and group projects, in which the students must discover the solution and develop the knowledge themselves.
This set of objectives is the driver of our curriculum to retain our prestigious ACS accreditation that is also used to meet the South Accreditation of College (SACS)’s requirement.
