LibraryThe Alfred R. Neumann Library is located on the second and third floors of the Bayou Building. It provides extensive support to chemistry students. The library's chemistry page contains a nice collection of useful information of chemistry students.
The reference desk is staffed by professional librarians whose duties include instruction in the online catalog, print and electronic resources, general use and specialized subject areas. Classes in database searching are offered during each semester, along with reference appointments for individual assistance. The reference staff publishes a variety of instruction guides, called Bibliotips, on various topics of interest ranging from keys to find what you need and locating full text to detailed instructions for searching specific database.
Furthermore, the library is a member of many consortia and participates in the TexShare card program through which students may borrow materials directly from other colleges and universities. Students can also request books and papers through online interlibrary loan forms. Ask about these opportunities at the library reference desk, or call 281-283-3910, or email library@uhcl.edu.
