| Applicants for candidacy should have a bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering with a significant number of courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Candidates should have a "B" average (GPA: 3.0) on the last 60 hours of credit. GREs are required by all students applying for the graduate program. Scores will be evaluated by the school’s admissions committee. |

Research Project Course Option (36 Hours)

Core: Industrial Hygiene
The Candidate Plan of Studies must include a minimum of 36 semester hours and include 6 hours of thesis or research topics. Of these, a minimum of 24 hours must be at the 5000 and 6000 levels and consist of a minimum of 18 hours in Industrial Hygiene and Safety. Only 6 undergraduate credit hours (4000 level) may be applied toward the M.S. degree. Recommended courses include:

Electives are selected in consultation with the faculty advisor and must include at least one course from three of the following areas: biology, chemistry, geology, industrial hygiene and safety. A maximum of six hours of environmental management courses may be included.
