As an academic support unit in the School of Science and Computer Engineering, the purpose of academic advising is to support and promote the instructional, research and service objectives of our students, faculty and university.  To accomplish our mission, the advising unit provides meaningful information that aids decision processes and planning, assists in assessment of student preparedness, executes the development and revision of the students' candidate plan of study and participates in the coordination of university resources. Through a personalized student advising process, the SCE mentoring team strives to customize the educational experiences of our students, often equipping them to succeed in complex, specialized, and competitive fields.
