Student Conference for Research & Creative Arts

The public is most welcome to attend any or all sessions at no cost.

The Conference is an affordable Student Showcase where students from any college/university present original, academic work.

Presenters: Poster Set-up


  1. In Bayou Building, Atrium II, consult the master poster list and panel map before hanging your poster. Each poster is assigned to a particular panel.
  2. The panels are numbered and have author names listed on the lower right-hand corner. Use the panel assigned to you and don't move the numbers.
  3. Don't move the master list. You may choose to copy info for yourself.

How to Hang Your Poster

  1. Nail your poster on the 60x84” panel number assigned to you on the master poster list.
  2. Use small nails, such as ¾" (.75 in) wire nails.
  3. Leave the head of the nail sticking out a little, so you can easily remove your poster after the Conference.
  4. No tape, glue, or Velcro allowed.


  • Your poster and panel can have empty areas.
  • Avoid putting verbiage low on a panel because it's hard to see.
  • Your poster can be created for about $50 in UHCL's Copy Center

Presenters: Poster Take-Down

Deadline: Thu, May 1, 10:00 pm

Posters not removed by the deadline become the property of UHCL and may be discarded.

Presenters and Presentations

Oral and poster presentations with faculty sponsors are welcome in all disciplines, including the Arts. Individual and small group projects represent interdisciplinary work. Day and evening sessions are available.

First-time student Presenters, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, are strongly encouraged. Evaluations are provided for presenters.


Sign up as a Volunteer and let us know if you can help before or during the Conference.We have alll kinds of different kinds of jobs.
Open to the public.


Sign-up as an Evaluator to create a lasting learning experience for student presenters by giving helpful feedback and identifying outstanding presentations.
Open to Faculty and Professionals in the general community.
