SGA Annual Canned Food Drive One small can for man. One giant lunch for mankind. SGA will be collecting canned food and other non-perishable food items One donated from each student = over 7,000 food items Now – November 16, 2009 Please deliver your donated food items to the SGA Office (SSCB 1.205) Or Any SGA donation receptacle you see around campus Help feed those in need this holiday season.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is composed of internally-selected representatives from each of the recognized student organizations. Meetings are open to all interested students.

SGA's four primary purposes are

• To be advocates for and speak on behalf the student body at large,
• To provide input to university administration on student and organizational issues,
• To elect/appoint students to university committees, and
• To allocate funds to the student organizations.

SGA meets every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters, and monthly during the summer.

The SGA Executive Council is a group of four students elected to one-year terms in April.

Students serve on all university committees, participating in policy development and implementation, planning, budgeting, and problem solving. Elections will be held for vacant positions in September, with general elections in April.
