Carla pursues a Master of Arts degree in Digital Media Studies. She recieved her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from UHCL in Spring 2011 and served as the head editor for Bayousphere and The Signal Relay during her undergraduate studies. Her close involvement with on-campus organizations mainly include the Communication and Digital Media Association, Hispanics Advancing Culture, Education and Roots, and the Photography Club. |

Kenneth pursues a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies. He is an active member of the Legal Studies Association, Psychology Club, Student Reading Council and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Kenneth served as SGA representative for the Psychology Club and as a tutor in the Strictly Speaking program. After graduation, Kenneth plans to attend law school at the University of Texas in Austin. |

Safyah pursues a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. She serves as the SGA representative for the Photography Club. She also volunteers as a tutor for the Strictly Speaking program where she tutors International students to help with their transition in the U.S. She has been a part of the UHCL community since Fall 2012 and has enjoyed taking part in UHCL activities such as Global Expo, Cultural Extravaganza,Chili Cook Off and being an International Orientation leader. Besides English, Safyah is fluent in Urdu and is currently taking part in IISS' Spanish Circle to help improve her Spanish-speaking skills. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, photography, watching movies and skydiving. |

Sarah Hopson pursues a Bachelor of Science degree in Fitness and Human Performance and will begin graduate coursework in the same field beginning in Fall 2013. Her transcript of service would include the roles of President and Vice President-Committee Coordinator of the Student Government Association, President of the Pre-Physical Therapy Student Organization, President for the UHCL chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success and Student Government Association Representative for the Black Students Association, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Fitness and Human Performance Honor Society. She is also a gold award recipient in the Servant Leader Scholar Program, and a proud mentor in the Students Helping Other Students to Succeed Program. Sarah attributes a significant portion of her success to the support of her family and friends as well as the community of leaders that surrounds her at UHCL. | |
