Academic Deans' Advisory Board
Students from each of the four schools have an opportunity to provide input and suggestions about their particular school. Following nominations by the Student Government Association Executive Council and faculty, each dean will appoint students to his or her board.
Dean of Students Advisory Board
Students serve in an advisory capacity to the Associate Vice President for Student Services/Dean of Students on student services issues and concerns.
Student Life Advisory Board
This board will discuss Student Life issues, such as intramural sports, women's issues, cultural arts, programming, student organizations, and general student life on campus. Applications will be reviewed by the Director of Student Life and the SGA Executive Council
Women's Resources Advisory Board
This advisory board provides participants an opportunity to contribute to the direction of Women’s Resource Services so that WRS serves the students’ best interests. Members will provide input on programs such as the Clothesline Project, Breast Cancer Awareness programs, and Women’s History Month. The board will meet 4 to 5 times per academic year. Applications will be reviewed by the Women’s Resources Coordinator and the SGA Executive Council.
Leadership Development Advisory Board
Students serve in an advisory capacity to the Coordinator of Student Life to ensure that current and potential new activities are meeting the developmental needs of the students. The board will meet once per month .
Multicultural Affairs Advisory Board
Students will have an opportunity to work with various constituents from the university, including current students, alumni, faculty, staff and administrators. The purpose of this board is to provide a voice for the university’s diverse community, addressing issues associated with a culturally diverse community, such as support services, student needs, recruitment and retention issues, and sensitivity training.
Library Advisory Board
The purpose of this board is to help make the library staff aware of student needs, to advise students of the staff’s efforts to meet those needs, and to monitor the use of Library Fee revenues.
