UHCL Day of Service

At the heart of UHCL's Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement program mission is a commitment to developing leadership through service to the community.

Since 2002, SLICE has sponsored Day of Service each semester. Over 2000 students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends have given of their time and energy to serve others via numerous service projects benefiting the Houston community.

The Day of Service program continues to grow and expand, offering wider varieties of projects and opportunities for students and student organizations to make a difference in the lives of others.

Kick-Off and Reception

Friday, March 2, 2012, Bayou Forest Room 1418, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Guest Speaker: Dr. Stephen Cherry, Volunteerism: Fostering Life-Long Ideals for Community Leadership.
Free Gringo's Nacho Bar, service journals and t-shirts for pre-registered Day of Service volunteers.

Open to the public. Volunteers must be least 18 years old.
