Student Leadership Retreat

Fri, Oct 14 - Sun, Oct 16, 2011
Trinity Pines Conference Center, Trinity, Texas
Transportation Provided

The Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement program offers an intensive two-and-a-half-day retreat designed for emerging leaders (those students who have limited leadership experience and a strong desire to become a leader) and continuing student leaders who wish to further enhance their leadership skills.

Participants join Student Life and other UHCL staff and faculty off-campus for a weekend of developing trust, team-building, community, enhancing understanding of self and others, and developing their personal leadership visions. Student leaders participate in a low and high ropes course (optional) on the second day of the retreat as they learn the power of teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and how to overcome personal challenges.  Past participants claim these retreats to be the highlights of their college experience and claim the retreat boosted their confidence in their leadership abilities.

Eligibility: Open to all UHCL students.

Deadline: Friday, October 7 at 12:00 pm

All accepted participants are required to pay a non-refundable $20 transportation fee. All other costs for the retreat(meals, lodging, activities) are paid for by SLICE.

Due to space limitations, no applications are considered after the deadline. Fill out the form and submit it to Student Life Office.
