Testimonials

Comments from previous Emerging Leaders Retreat Participants.

“I got to know how to work as a team and how to lead a team.  And, lastly, how to mingle with others.”

“Learning about ways one can take active role on campus,
Being able to trust your teammates,
 Meeting new emerging leaders, and
 Building more confidence.”

“[I learned] what leadership was about.  I had other opinions but now I know what it means.  It is not just commanding others, but working together to achieve the task or goal.”

“The time spent together learning about each other and others’ cultures.  It brings about better understanding of people and places and gives an opportunity for all to teach and for all to learn something new.”

“… I learned while playing.”

“Team-playing skills were most beneficial at this retreat because I think team-playing takes us a long way in organizations and helps us accomplish tasks more easily.”

“The ropes course was the best.  It focused on the leadership, teamwork, trust, confidence, courage, what not – everything!  The second half of the challenge made me take up personal challenges and come out of my fear… I’d love to do it all again!”
