Members of this office advise all undergraduate and post-degree students seeking teacher education degrees and their initial teaching certificates. Advisors also analyze transcripts and help students prepare degree and certification plans. The office also counsels prospective graduate students regarding various School of Education programs and assigns them their faculty advisors.

The Office of Academic Advising also oversees various special programs in the School of Education. These programs include the GATER2 program, the BAER2 program, the HomeGrown Teacher Program, and Pathway to Teaching program.

If you need advisement, you should contact the Office of Academic Advising for information about available advising times or scheduling an appointment. To ensure that an advisor will be available to speak with you, you should always call our office prior to visiting.
