CEP - Mathematics Tutorial Program
for Students Grades 2 - 8
Beginning Mathematics through Pre-AlgebraOne semester per year, the University of Houston-Clear Lake Center for Educational Programs offers one-to-one tutoring for math improvement to students in grades 2 - 8. Each student accepted for tutoring is administered diagnostic tests to determine an appropriate plan of remediation.
UHCL Mathematics educational students completing their state certification program conduct the individualized learning activities, working under the direct guidance of a university supervisor. The tutorial sessions meet weekly throughout a semester and at the end of the program a composite progress report is written for each student. The fee in the past has been about $ 200 per child.
