Application Process

The next cohort of the EdD in Education Leadership program will begin in Fall 2009. In order to be considered for admission, all application materials must be submitted by March 15, 2009.

Application Materials

  1. University application.
  2. $95 non-refundable application fee.
  3. GRE scores not more than 5 years old.
  4. Official transcripts from all institutions attended. Transcripts should be mailed to this address:

  1. Other materials required to complete application portfolio:
    1. Three Professional References: Please provide the Reference Form to your references. Your references should then return the completed form to you with his or her signature and the date across the sealed envelope flap.
    2. Letter from Employer: First, the letter must confirm your employer is supportive of you pursuing the EdD. Second, the letter must confirm that your employer is committed to supporting EdD field experiences within the organization.
    3. Letter of Intent: The Letter of Intent, not to exceed 1500 words, should demonstrate why you wish to pursue doctoral-level work in Educational Leadership by discussing your career goals and how the program in Educational Leadership will help you meet them. You should include a discussion of prior experiences that relate to your interest in, and aptitude for, the graduate program; scholarly and professional accomplishments; obstacles you had to overcome to get to your current position.
    4. Curriculum Vita: A current and comprehensive curriculum vita is required.
