Every doctoral program must provide opportunities for regular interaction between students and faculty as well as among students. To achieve this goal, the THECB requires that doctoral students fulfill a Residency Requirement. Doctoral students are considered as being "in residence" if they are taking 9 or more hours of doctoral courses from their program. To satisfy the Residency Requirement, doctoral students must be in residence for
two consecutive long terms,
two full summer terms and one of the intervening long terms, or
