Enrollment Procedure

For all four INST Master's Options - Go to the Office of Admissions and pick up a Master's Option Course Enrollmen t form, or you may download the form from the UHCL Admissions website at http://prtl.uhcl.edu/admissions/

For INST Graduate Internship Master's Option only - Go to the UHCL School of Education Office and pick up a Graduate Internship Application form . This form is a pink document and may only be obtained from the SoE office. It is NOT available on-line.

Contact INST Faculty Advisor for Scheduled Appointment

After you have completed filling out the master's option enrollment form and for internship program only, the Graduate Internship Application form, contact your INST faculty advisor for a scheduled appointment. When you meet with your faculty advisor you will obtain the information relative to the faculty advisor and required signatures.

Submit Master Option Forms to the UHCL SoE Office

When you have completed obtaining signatures from your INST faculty advisor submit the Master's Option Enrollment form (and for internship program only, the Graduate Internship Application form) to the UHCL SoE office (Suite B1231) to obtain the Associate Dean's signature.

NOTE: It is extremely important that you submit the Master's Option Enrollment form (and for internship program only, the Graduate Internship Application form) to the UHCL SoE by the assigned UHCL deadline dates to begin your master's option or you will have to submit the application the next semester. The scheduled dates for submitting the Master's Option Enrollment and the Graduate Internship Application are:

  • For Fall Master Option - June 8
  • For Spring Master Option - October 1
  • For Summer Master Option - March 1

Retrieve Master Option Enrollment Form from UHCL SoE Office

Within a few days someone from the UHCL SoE office will call you and let you know that your Master's Option Enrollment form has been signed by the Associate Dean and is ready for you to retrieve the form from the SoE office. You will be given the original Master's Option Enrollment form. Please make a copy of this form to retain for your own records before proceeding to the next step. For graduate internship seeking students you will also receive a copy from the SoE office of the Graduate Internship Application form to retain for your records. If you have any questions regarding the status of the submitted Master Option forms, please call the UHCL School of Education Office at 281.283.3615

Submit Forms to the UHCL OES Admissions Office and Pay Fees

After you have obtained from the UHCL SoE office, the signed Master's Option Enrollment form and made a copy to retain for your records, submit the Master's Option Enrollment form to the UHCL Admissions Office. They will enroll you for the Master's Option course. You do NOT have to register for this course. Wait approximately three days and call the Admissions Office at 281.283.2521 or go on-line to your personal E-Services account at http://prtl.uhcl.edu/admissions/easeonline.htm to verify your Master's Option course enrollment.

After you have received verification of your Master's Option course enrollment, you must pay your course enrollment tuition and fees by the assigned UHCL semester deadline dates.
