The bachelor of arts in mathematical science is designed to prepare the student for a career in industry or education, or for graduate study in mathematics, statistics, operations research or other mathematically based disciplines. Students will encounter both the classical foundations of mathematics and the modern concern with numerical issues that the computer has spawned.
