previous academic standing.

Tabled further new business until after announcements were completed.
Announced Card and Board Game night will be stricken from the events list.
Instead, board and card games will be set up and available for play
each week for anyone who wishes to engage in the activity, likewise
anyone wishing to bring games to share is welcome to bring them along.
(Aside: Members and visitors should be willing to allow others to
touch and play with their games whether they are present or not. This
will require great deal of trust on the owner's part, but we will have
members within view of all games set out for play at all times.)
(Private Side Note: I would suggest we establish a "Courteous Play
Policy" for these board game as they are not the property of the Guild
itself. Though even as property of the Guild, I'd recommend a
"Courteous Play Policy" be written.)
Announced the removal of the First-Second-Third-Fourth-Fifth Week
gaming schedule, and the adoption of a regular alternating bi-weekly
schedule.
Starting January 13th, 2006 the UHCL Gamers' Guild will be holding
regular gaming events on a bi-weekly basis. January 13th will feature
the AD&D game, "The Circle's" D&D campaign, and 7th Sea. January 20th
will feature a demo, introduction, or experimental time slot with no
scheduled game, Demonstration or Tournament time, and Masque of the
Red Death d20. Each week is another swing of the pendulum, first a 7th
Sea night, then a Masque night. If the college is closed the event
night will still be counted as one or the other to maintain a regular
schedule.
Announced the decision to post flyer and powerpoint slide ads together
for posting at the Delta Building and on the college slideshow channel
broadcast through all the school TV's. Members and Visitors were
invited to make powerpoint slide ads and submit them to the Guild
Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GGuild-UHCL) to be voted on
via an on-site poll. Submission deadlines were not discussed, but
slide is limited to one frame. Graphics for the Guild are available in
the Group Files and Pictures sections of the webgroup.
Announced a request for suggestions for fund raising efforts the guild
could participate in for our benefit. Diane Schluter suggested holding
board game tournaments and card tournaments and such for a small
admission fee, with a Guild-acquisitioned prize awarded to the winner.
Discussion of this suggestion was tabled until January 13th after
elections. James Kent suggested a Steve Jackson Games MIB weekend
event with SJG-provided prize support, held for a small fee, Marion
Carpenter noted an event like that takes planning on the level of the
L5R Kotei, and should be treated as a small convention. Discussion of
this suggestion was also tabled until January 13th. No further
suggestions were made at this time.
Called for a vote on whether the Guild should sign up for the web
portal seminar and make a web portal for the UHCL Gamers' Guild. Vote
was unanimously in favor of doing so.
Called for a vote on creating a new delegated officer position,
Webmaster. Vote was unanimously in favor of doing so.
Marion Carpenter and Deborah Kent appointed Stuart Engelhardt to the
position of Webmaster with James Kent's approval.
Announced Stuart Engelhardt as new delegate Webmaster.
Marion Carpenter announced his resignation from the delegated position
as Guild Correspondent.
Diane Schluter recommended James Kent as an appointment to the
position of Guild Correspondent.
Marion Carpenter and Deborah Kent appointed James Kent to the delegate
position of Guild Correspondent.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn the General Assembly. General
Assembly adjourned at 8:20 PM.
