I/O Y Psi

Founded
I/O Psi, The Local Honor Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, was founded at UH-Clear Lake in June 2005. 
 
Purpose
The mission and purposes of I/O Psi are (1) to continue the path of scholastic excellence; (2 to recognize those students who excel in their studies; and (3) to develop the skills that will guide its members in becoming professionals in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. 
 
Membership Requirements
Qualified student candidates must be graduate students, registered as a Behavioral Sciences General-I/O sub-plan major or I/O Psychology graduate plan; must have completed nine hours of graduate work in I/O Psychology; and must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. (Members of the I/O program who do not meet these qualifications are still invited to participate in meetings, activities, and events.) 
 
Status
I/O Psi inducts in the fall and spring of each year.  I/O Psi is also registered as a UHCL student organization.
