Alternative Text
Alternative text serves individuals who have a print disability, which is the inability to read standard printed text. Alternative text enables the standard text to be available to these users in other formats including Braille, audio and digital.

Peers-helping -peers mentoring program, created by Brenda Ross, a student intern, has increased the number of mentors from 10 to 25, retained mentors and promoted a symbiotic relationship between mentor/mentee.

Impact on Hunger - Food Bank
In promoting community service/engagement and student/staff participation, UFA's donation to the Food Bank was substantial.

Writing Center

Hosted South Central Writing Centers Conference (SCWCA) - Connect & Reflect
In bringing the SCWCA Conference to UHCL, the Writing Center received  national recognition and shared its “Best Practices” with other universities.
