Acceptable Use Policy
E-Mail Account
Student E-mail accounts are automatically created on PCLAB Domain once you are accepted at UHCL. Accounts are automatically renewed for Fall and Spring semester through re-enrollment at UHCL. Use the ID Lookup Tool to find your User ID. Your USERID begins with your last name, the first initial of your first name and a random 4-digit number. Your EMAIL address will be your USERID@uhcl.edu.
Passwords are "p + your student ID number + $" (ex: p1234567$). This number is on the back of your student ID card. Log on to Webmail with your USERID. Specify the domain of "pclab\" in front of your USERID. Example: pclab\SmithT1234. Make sure you are using the backslash and not the forward slash.
Student account passwords NEVER expire. If you somehow get locked out of your account, please allow 30 minutes for your account to be systematically unlocked.
Student Worker Login
Students employed by UHCL need to apply for an account in order to log on to their office computer Student wokrers need to complete Account Application form and get the approval signature of their supervisor.
- Accounts expire at the end of the current semester.
- Accounts are renewable per approval of the supervisor.
Student Organization E-Mail
Officers of student organizations can request a computer login and e-mail account for the organization by completing the Account Application form on behalf of the organization. Approval from Student Life is required.
- Accounts expire at the end of the semester or whenever a new officer is elected for the organization.
- Account Passwords CANNOT be shared. Doing so violates UHCL's Acceptable Use Policy.
- Accounts are renewable each term.
