Appointments

Please review our policies before making an appointment or visiting the Writing Center.

Select which appointment type you prefer:

  • For papers under 5 pages, you can schedule a 45-minute face-to-face appointment or online chat session (please see below.)
  • For papers 5 to 15 pages, you can schedule a 45-minute face-to-face or chat session, or you can request a Read-Ahead appointment before you attend your session.
  • If you wish to set up an Online Chat appointment, click here 



If you have never visited the Writing Center before, please click the link above to register.
Please use your UHCL email address when registering in the system to help us ensure that you are enrolled as a UHCL student. 
Additional registrations under other email addresses will be deleted.



Click the link above to log in to our scheduling system and make an appointment.
Please be sure to choose the appropriate campus from the drop-down box.


Things to Know Before You Come:

  • Conferences are scheduled on the hour and last 45 minutes.
  • Tutors cannot make exceptions to this policy by extending your session time or granting another session that day.
  • If you arrive more than ten minutes late, you may forfeit your appointment.
  • Bring your assignment sheet and specific questions if you have them, along with any work you've already begun.
  • You may also come just to brainstorm or discuss ideas!

Writing Center Workshops      
All workshops last one hour and meet in the Writing Center.

"(NNS/BLS)" designates workshops specifically designed for Non-Native and Bilingual English Speakers.
