The Bachelor of Science curriculum in biology prepares students for professional and
technical careers in the biomedical, biotechnical and environmental fields. This program
also provides a course of study for students who want to pursue medical and dental
careers or graduate study in biology.
Five specialization areas are available to students pursuing the B.S. degree in Biological
Science. In all cases, prerequisites for any course must be satisfied prior to enrollment
in the course. Students must complete the required specialization courses for each
specialization area with grades of "C" or better (grades of "C-" or below are not
